Llink Technologies Wins 2025 AutoTech Outlook Top Remanufactured Automotive Lighting Assembly Solution

Brown City, Mich. (July 25, 2025 ) – Llink Technologies, a Tier-1 supplier and manufacturer of custom automotive interior and exterior products and inventor of the groundbreaking headlamp remanufacturing process, is honored to announce its recognition as the Top Remanufactured Automotive Lighting Assembly Solution of 2025 by AutoTech Outlook. This prestigious award is featured in AutoTech Outlook's recent edition, highlighting Llink Technologies’ efforts as the world’s first remanufacturer of headlamp assemblies.
The winner of this award was determined through nominations from AutoTech Outlook subscribers and an evaluation by its editorial board and senior industry experts. This feature highlights the company’s truly innovative approach to remanufacturing lighting assemblies. Llink stands out as the sole recipient of this award in the current edition, underscoring its pivotal role in advancing sustainable practices in the automotive industry.
"We are honored to receive this recognition from AutoTech Outlook," said Jeff Goulet, Founder and CEO of Llink Technologies. "This award reflects the progress we’ve made in redefining sustainability within automotive lighting. Our patented remanufacturing process not only preserves valuable materials but also delivers measurable environmental and economic benefits. We remain committed to expanding its impact across the industry.”
Llink Technologies’ remanufacturing program recovers 95% of components from end-of-life lighting assemblies. These components are assembled into a new lens and housing to produce a remanufactured lamp that is OEM certified and warrantied, with a fit, form, and function that is identical to brand new. These remanufactured assemblies cost less than a brand-new replacement headlight and reduce carbon footprints by minimizing waste. The process establishes the automotive industry’s first circular supply chain for lighting assemblies, empowering OEMs to compete with aftermarket suppliers while delivering environmental and economic benefits.
The award adds to the company's impressive list of recent accomplishments. In 2024, it secured a U.S. patent for its automotive lighting assembly remanufacturing process, with an international patent currently pending. The company was also the winner of both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Re-X Before Recycling competition and received Michigan’s EGLE Circular Economy Grant, along with additional funding from Michigan’s Manufacturing Technology Center to advance smart manufacturing technologies. Furthermore, in consultation with National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Llink assessed the carbon footprint of new lighting assemblies, establishing important baseline metrics for their sustainability initiatives. Llink Technologies is now working with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory to perform an in-depth lifecycle assessment of remanufactured lighting assemblies, and develop an environmental impact calculator tool. This will enable Llink to provide precise measurements for the environmental impacts associated with remanufacturing a lighting assembly versus producing a new one.
Llink Technologies currently remanufactures headlamp assemblies for more than two dozen different General Motors (GM) part numbers, with an additional 14 GM part numbers launching soon. Llink is in the pre-launch phase with two additional automotive OEMs.
